You can never be too young or too old to learn music. Private piano and vocal lessons tailored to suit your objectives. Our talented teacher Elizabeth is an experienced international performer and teacher who brings out the best in each student and ensures you have fun while learning.

STYLES TAUGHT: Contemporary and Classical Piano and/or Voice for AMEB or for leisure, Pop, Rock, Folk, Jazz, Music Theatre, Glee, songwriting and more.

EXPERIENCE: Having studied under the likes of Ludmila Beliavskaia (piano) and Sarah McCallum (voice), Elizabeth’s professional career as a young performer is extensive. Her involvement in award winning performances for various Eisteddfods, running a ‘Glee-club’ to public performances with Oliver! The Musical, Carols by Candlelight, Sydney Opera House, Channel 7’s Sunrise, Vienna Boys Choir and international tours to Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, Spain, Switzerland, Poland, France and Austria, has encompassed Elizabeth to excel as performer and teacher.

With professional training in both classical (including AMEB) and contemporary/jazz styles, Elizabeth has the ability to tailor each lesson plan to suit or meet the individual student’s objectives. Her experience and interest across the classical, pop, jazz and music theatre genres, enables children, teenagers and adults the opportunity to learn one or all styles of music. Each lesson is combined with technical training, fundamental music theory, creative play, sight-reading and aural development, which provides a solid foundation for every student wanting to learn music.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor of Music, AMEB accredited

Fabien has much experience in the professional music industry. From teaching instruments and producing music for various artists, to being the head A&R Manager for a multi-million dollar record label. Fabien began playing classical piano at the age of 5 and continued to grade 8 AMEB exams. Through this time he learned the importance of having a solid foundation of theory and technique in order to further his talents with other instruments. At the age of 13 he passed a music scholarship to enter a very reputable music school in West Australia (Rossmoyne SHS) where he found his love for Percussion and Drums. He joined the West Australian Youth Wind Orchestra as head percussionist at the age of 17 and at the age of 19 decided to further his craft by auditioning on drums at the Conservatorium). Here, he was taught by one of the most reputable drummers and drum teachers in Australia (Ric Eastman). After passing this Diploma Fabien decided to re-audition on Bass guitar. This had never been done at WAAPA before. Fabien learned bass from bass master Paul Pooley who was the number one call for any session in Sydney and Melbourne for 2 decades before deciding to teach at the Conservatorium in Perth.

Fabien has since explored other facets of the music industry such as music production and engineering. He has recently become a certified Apple Pro with the music production software “Logic Pro 9″ and offers to teach beginners to advanced music producers. Fabien is also a published songwriter and is soon to be releasing an Electro/Pop act. Throughout the past 10 years, Fabien has performed and toured with some famous acts such as 1927 (as bass player) and Gangajang. He is also on the Cirque du soleil multi-instrumentalist database for upcoming shows.

As a teacher, Fabien has a vast knowledge of what is required for any level of musician in order to blossom. He will provide a solid foundation while making the lessons fun and enjoyable to set students up for their musical future….whether it be professional or just for fun. Fabien hopes to share his passion for music with all of his students. EXTRAS: Fabien can also offer recording production with fully produced songs (arranged with drums, bass, guitar, keys and vocals) for people who write their own songs or who would like to receive a demo recording of their original song/composition.
